Each piece in the Essential Collection is continuously refined throughout its life cycle, improving any weak points and in order to achieve a cutting-edge piece. For the Spring and Summer 2021 Collection , the Gregarius Ultra bib shorts have been further refined to become THE versatile and definitive bib shorts to use on any type of outing, thanks to the new UF Knit44 ECO fabric, the new SM-Anatomic pad and a new tailoring construction .

100% recycled material

With the aim of a more eco-sustainable approach, we have renovated the UF Knit44 to have a completely recycled fabric. Most recycled fabrics only use a recycled yarn for the polyamide and a virgin yarn for the elastane. In our new UF Knit44 ECO fabric we have chosen only 100% recycled yarns.

New caseback*

Our famous Super Molded (SM) is an extremely high-performance pad designed for a solid feel and 360° support. We have updated it by developing a complete three-dimensional molding that better follows the anatomy of the human body and offers greater comfort when pedaling. The foam padding has been calibrated using variable densities and thicknesses in the perineal, ischial, genital and buttock areas obtaining an extremely sophisticated fine-tuning of its overall comfort. The pad uses a unique molding technique that produces soft variations in the thickness of the padding, significantly improving contact with the rider's skin.

Improved fit

To further improve the fit of these bib shorts we have introduced a laser cut finish in the waist area, which also allowed us to eliminate many unnecessary seams. Furthermore, the anti-stress panel now follows the three-dimensional construction of the pad, creating a more anatomical interface with the human body. Other characteristics:

1. New pre-shaped and ergonomic cut : as a result of research in the field of ergogenic support, this new version has a construction development similar to the Elite Dungarees, based on the principle of using the least possible number of strategically placed seams, in order to improve the pedaling support.
2. New proprietary cut for the crotch area with attention to the layout of the pad : an insert with a fabric containing Dyneema™ has been introduced in the pad area to increase toughness and improve thermoregulation.
3. Anti-stress cut : a proprietary cut for the genital area, allowing greater freedom of movement and increasing comfort of the pelvic area.
4. Proprietary leg bottom finish : no problem areas and less pressure, thanks to the raw cut on the leg bottom, free of silicone, which keeps the trousers in place. Uncomfortable elastic leg cuffs and silicone prints are problems of the past.
5. New bib construction system : light and breathable.
6. Lumbar support panel : a high density elastic woven fabric with silver yarn inside has been used to actively work to increase the stability and alignment of the body during pedaling.
