The new range of extensions have evolved from our proven T-series. They have been designed to offer distinct fit options. We have also adopted a new naming system whereby the name indicates the angle and material of the extension. So 39a is a 39° bend in aluminum.
Performance
The sole purpose of the extensions is to provide a comfortable position for the rider's hands relative to the armrests. They improve performance by allowing the cyclist to relax in the optimal position. That's why we provide multiple fit options so every cyclist can pursue the best performance.
Fit data
The extensions 52a have a 52° inclination for the handle. The rider can choose whether to hold high for the shrug position or low for a more open, head-up position.
The 52a offers 7.5mm of lateral shift per side. This allows the rider to clasp or spread their hands without tilting the extensions so much that they touch the shift levers
Of course we haven't forgotten the importance of aerodynamics, adding a Kamm shape to the riser section.
Finally we added ergonomically shaped end caps that make the grip more comfortable.
Origin
Recent trends in aerobar fit have been towards higher hand positions, so we've increased the rise over previous generation extensions. We focused on the most popular angles from our previous range and added the 26a as a multi-position option.
Technical guide
All extensions have a diameter of 22.2 mm in the clamping area.
They are designed to route cables out the back of the extensions, so they do not have cable exit holes.
For who is it?
Extensions fit any aero handlebar designed for 22.2mm. So it can be used by any cyclist who wants to improve the comfort of their aerobar grips.
