The HRM-Run heart rate monitor provides advanced running activity measurements for Garmin Forerunner ^® running watches. The strap offers a perfect fit and is easily adjustable while the module is small, light and fits snugly on the strap.

HRM-Run provides 6 running dynamics metrics:

• Cadence - the number of steps per minute
• Vertical swing - the "bounce" present in the running motion; displays the vertical movement of the torso, measured in centimeters for each step
• Ground Contact Time - the contact time of each step with the ground while running; measured in milliseconds
• Ground Contact Time Balance - displays the left / right balance of ground contact time during running (in percent); for example, 53.2 with an arrow pointing left or right
• Step length - the distance between one step and anALTRA; measured in meters
• Vertical ratio - the ratio of vertical swing to stride length (in percent); a lower number generally indicates a better course of the race

This real-time data helps athletes improve their performance by showing weaknesses to improve in order to optimize running progress.
