De Marchi Salvarani 1972 vintage cycling jersey Gimondi vintage cycling jersey
Authorized replica of the jersey produced by De Marchi in 1972 for the Salvarani team. Made of Merino wool and acrylic fiber for easier washing. French collar with vintage YKK zip made in Japan and three pockets. Cornely type embroidery. Dry fit. Entirely handcrafted in Italy with Italian materials, except for the zip.
Italian fitted kitchen manufacturer Salvarani struck gold when they brought 1964 Tour de l'Avenir winner Felice Gimondi into the pro ranks in 1965.
Gimondi stayed with Salvarani for eight seasons, winning the Tour de France, Giro d'Italia, Italian championship and Paris-Roubaix, becoming a prolific winner with 99 pro victories while lad in the "light blue" kit of Salvarani.
Our Felice Gimondi Salvarani Jersey is an authentic reproduction of the jersey originally made by De Marchi in 1972.
We use a itch-free Merino wool blend for easy care, classic mALTRA-of-pearl buttoned pockets with reinforced stitching, logos in Cornely-type hand cranked embroidery and doubled cuffs.
Handmade in Italy by De Marchi, like back in the day.
