Mandatory conditions of use for tubeless road wheels
Tire compatibility
It is your responsibility to verify that the tire model you select is compatible with hookless rims (refer to the tire manufacturer's specifications). Tubes can be used, however the tire must be fitted with tubeless beads to ensure it stays in place.
Tubeless Straight Side (TSS) wheels must be used with Hookless compatible tubeless ready tires between 25mm and 32mm wide (ISO 5775).
The maximum inflation pressure is 5 bar (72 psi) for a 25 mm tire or 4.7 bar (58 psi) for a 28 mm tire.
You can use a tire starting from 25 mm with an internal width of 21 mm
You can use a tire starting from 25 mm with an internal width of 23 mm
Tips and Restrictions
The use of tubeless tires requires specific care in terms of installation and maintenance.
Use only plastic tire levers
When installing the tire, you should install 2 layers of 0.1mm thick rim tape against the inner rim bed to ensure a tight seal. (FTUB27-10 by Velox)
CO2 cartridges, high flow pumps and compressors MUST NOT be used to inflate TSS tubeless tires on Essentia wheels.
