The new SL7 carbon wheel is the epitome of performance. With a 70mm rim height and 23mm internal width, the SL7 offers the perfect balance between aerodynamic advantage and high-speed stability. Crafted from high modulus carbon fiber with a UD and 3K weave combination, the SL7 delivers elite-level stiffness and power transfer while maintaining excellent steering feel. The rim profile is optimized to slice through the air, whether you’re chasing a breakaway or racing against the clock. At the heart of the SL7 is Deda’s new “Allroad” hub, with steel bearings and a precise 40-tooth 2-pawl engagement system for instant response. Compatible with Shimano Center Lock rotors and modern 12x100mm / 12x142mm thru axles, the SL7 is ready for any road bike with disc brakes.

The new 23C rim is designed to accommodate tires from 28 mm upwards, improving the overall aerodynamics of the wheel-tire system. External nipples simplify maintenance and truing operations, making adjustments quick and accessible. The ABS® system prevents nipples and spokes from loosening, ensuring long-lasting stability and reliability.

A thin layer of PTFE and Kevlar has been applied in the contact area between the nipple and the rim: this improves the precision in the adjustment of the nipples and optimizes the coupling, reducing friction and wear over time.

With lower flanges, the hub body is more compact and aerodynamic, reducing drag and improving pedaling efficiency. The lightweight construction allows for significant weight savings without compromising strength. The result is a reliable, smooth-rolling hub.

The 40-tooth dual ratchet system halves the engagement angle compared to the previous generation, offering immediate response to pedaling. The cylindrical spring ensures greater stability and consistent operation of the mechanism.
