The new rim profile that characterizes the Speed 55 DB is a further step forward in the search for the best aerodynamic performance, a model therefore oriented towards a demanding and "racing" public. To improve the rolling resistance (and therefore the speed) of the wheel/tyre system we have designed this model in the 2-WAY FIT version .
The production method of the carbon fiber rim without holes in the internal channel - patented construction technology also allows for a stronger and more robust construction capable of challenging even the most extreme racing conditions. The 19 mm rim width fits perfectly with the trend of using increasingly wider covers, a choice that further improves the aerodynamic performance of the wheel/cover system. These data have been validated by studies and intensive tests in the wind tunnel where we regularly carry out tests on new projects. Speed has proven to be the best option in terms of aerodynamic penetration indices of the Fulcrum range and takes its cues from the profiles developed in the tubular version for World Tour teams.
However, the Speeds do not only respond to aerodynamic performance, to optimize performance the wheels must also be light and smooth, the scale stops at 1580 grams while for the bearings we have chosen ceramic USB components.
