MICHE KLEOS RD 62 CYCLING WHEELSET PAIR

The high-profile wheel is the symbol of speed. The greater flywheel effect generates a propulsion force that helps push the entire bicycle forward, but it's not all that simple. You have to deal with turbulence. The analyses guided by the laws of aerodynamics have allowed us to analyse the detachment of the aerodynamic flow in racing trim. This is how we built the Kleos RD 62. The Toray T1000/T700 carbon fibre rim adopts a differentiated section profile and a 23 mm internal channel (front and rear wheel): safety and maximum reliability with all clincher and tubeless tyres on the market. The Ergal 7075 T6 hubs relaunch the Miche RR-C (Racing Replica Ceramic) technology. Thanks to the collaboration with CeramicSpeed, Miche has developed double-shield ceramic bearings by analysing every parameter: from the lubricant to the shields to the tolerance class of the fifth wheels/balls to identify the best possible solution in terms of smoothness and durability. Fine adjustment of the hub is always possible using the adjustment rings on both the front and rear hubs. The Aero Blade fairing positioned on the left flange of the front wheel reduces turbulence and improves aerodynamics. The double-butted stainless steel spokes arranged according to the 16+8 crossed/radial pattern provide different aero sections between the front and rear wheels. An innovation that, together with the Aero Blade, was developed following data collected in the wind tunnel. Kleos RD 62: designed and produced in the Miche factory in San Vendemiamo.
