The new Super Record™ 12x2 Speed crankset, in carbon fiber lightened inside thanks to Campagnolo's "Hollow Technology", uses the Ultra-Torque locking system with titanium pin to transfer all the power exerted by the athlete on the pedals to the transmission . The new Super Record™ 12x2 Speed crankset can be mounted on all types of frames , regardless of whether they are for disc brakes or not because it optimizes the chain line on frames with a 130, 135 or 142 mm rear stop without affecting the factor Q which, thanks to the new crank design, remains at 145.5 millimetres.
The use of CULT ceramic bearings allows us to obtain the now famous smoothness that has become a Campagnolo trademark. The innovative design of the external gear, thanks also to the shaped pin, ensures faster and quieter uphill shifting. The symmetrical design of the internal gear teeth also improves stability in chain crossings. The standard double bolt circle (112 and 145 millimetres) in combination with the 8 fixing screws allows for the optimization of weight and stiffness, thanks to the greater use of carbon fibre.
The different number of pins for each of the three gear combinations (34/50, 36/52, 39/53) favors uphill shifting thanks to an engagement optimized for each combination. Furthermore, the particular exhausts present inside the external gears favor the occurrence of downshifting in the dead points of the pedal stroke, optimizing performance.
