Description:
The Zone3 Evolution suit was designed in collaboration with a previous winner of the famous ÖtillÖ race in Sweden and three other Swedish athletes with multiple finishes. Everything has been designed to include flexibility, comfort, buoyancy and functionality.
The suit is designed for both swimming and running, meaning no kit changes are required. Each outfit comes complete with 8mm LEGGINGS, compass and whistle.
The wetsuit combines a great-fitting swimsuit, but with the benefit of high-stretch leg panels for running and a front zip for lung expansion and breathability on the run. The wetsuit is full of innovative features and this has been recognized and shortlisted for the 'GAME CHANGER OF THE YEAR' award held by 220 Triathlon magazine.
Key features include:
1. Yamamoto materials are used everywhere except the lower leg panel which offers low drag, flexibility, warmth and buoyancy. The aqua dynamic Nano "SCS" coating applied to the neoprene creates almost zero resistance through water. A drag coefficient of just 0.021 compared to 4.0 for regular neoprene wetsuits. The SCS lining also prevents the suit from absorbing water, thus avoiding excess weight in the suit.
The Yamamoto material also offers a whopping 480-580% stretch, compared to human skin (underarm) which is only 60-70%. Maximum flexibility and comfort with an expansion of 7x conventional wetsuit materials. It also offers greater buoyancy, warmth and is more eco-friendly due to the fact that neoprene is made from a limestone base.
2. Highly flexible 1.5mm SCS shoulder and arm panels for maximum are complemented with 5mm metallic blue Yamamoto #39 SCS back panel and side panels for upper body buoyancy, warmth and visibility .
3. 2mm front and rear legs with high stretch lining designed for free-gliding running and minimizing noise. The buoyancy of the lower leg is supported by the 8mm calf sleeves and the accessories can be used as pull buoys.
4. A silicone band embedded inside, just above the elbow. Designed to be cut if the athlete requests it so the sleeves can be worn while swimming and easily removed for running.
5. Two internal pockets on the front and one large external pocket on the back for SwimRun essentials. Size and location perfected over the last three years.
6. Durable back panel for durability on rough terrain.
7. Front zip with cable for easy access and breathability/temperature control while running.
8. Pro-Speed silicone coated cuffs allow you to remove the suit more quickly.
9. Bright colors for visibility.
10. 8mm thick chaps for significant added buoyancy support on the swim.
11. SwimRun required compass and whistle included.
